Lives On Screen

Seeing ourselves on the other side of the glass.

Don’t touch that dial.

Lives On Screen is a about what we see on screens – film, TV, video games, that viral TikTok you love – and what it means to us. This site is intended to be a thing: part review, part journal, part auto-ethnography, part thought experiment.

I’m writing this as an academic, a fan, and a longtime devourer of things on screens.

So check out my stuff at the blog and my Google Scholar profile.

Thanks for visiting!

“One forgets too easily the difference between a man and his image, and that there is none between the sound of his voice on the screen and in real life.”
